Counselling

Your story matters, let it be heard

Therapy

Counselling provides a secure and confidential space for you to grapple with and understand life's challenges. Together, we will develop skills to navigate through difficult emotions such as anxiety, shame, and low mood.

Our collaborative efforts will centre around breaking free from negative thoughts and self-critical beliefs, empowering you to cultivate confidence and establish deeper connections with those who matter most. The ultimate aim is to assist you in constructing a more fulfilling and meaningful life!

What to expect

In my role as a counsellor, I am dedicated to establishing a warm and supportive space where you can openly discuss your current difficulties and issues. Your confidentiality is paramount, and there is no fear of judgment.

Recognizing that you are the expert in your own experiences, our collaboration will involve deciding on a course of action to support positive changes at a pace that suits you best. Whether you choose to address past or current challenges, the focus is on working through whatever you bring to our sessions. Whether you aim to make sense of your experiences, find meaning in life, or explore coping strategies, I am here to support you.

The first session

Choosing therapy is a brave step toward emotional well-being, growth, and healing. The first session might feel a little scary. In our time together, I, as your therapist, will actively work to create a safe, non-judgmental environment. I'll introduce myself, explain the therapeutic process, and provide you with an opportunity to share openly about what has led you to seek therapy.

This initial session is your opportunity to get a sense of whether or not you are comfortable with me and would like to work with me.

You don't have to cover everything at once in the initial session; it's about laying the foundation for your therapeutic journey. The main goal is to make you feel comfortable enough to start to explore your difficulties.

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.
